Peer Pitch & Concept Refinement Chart
After presenting our pitch it was clear we did not understand what we were being asked to do. At that time, it was time for us to break it down and start back over. We based our pitch off of one specific feature article instead of basing it mainly about our magazine as a whole. One specific example of feedback we received from our class with to restart; our class advised that we started from the bottom again and got more organized. After looking back on what we present I believe one of our issues was not completely understand what a pitch actually was. A pitch means; “a line of talk that attempts to persuade someone or something, with a planned sales presentation strategy of a product or service designed to initiate and close a sale of the product or service”, Wikipedia.
This impacted our view of our concept a lot being that we
had to start from the bottom again. Our concept of the article is to help those
in high school find their next step when it comes to athletics, however right
now we are currently going through a global pandemic which is effect everyone’s
next step in to their future. The future article in my magazine is The Battling
of Sports During a Global Pandemic; this article will relate back to the main
concept of our magazine because it will show the realistic of what it’s like
following your dreams through such a horrible and hard time. After reconstruction we came up with a better pitch that made everything clear and allowed others to also understand what we were trying to do.
