Storyboard

Over the last week a lot of time was spent creating our story boards. There is a lot to think about when put one together; like the color, spacing, making sure all the important information is on there etc.  The article Storyboard Your Way to Success stated; “Storyboarding is a structured exercise based on brainstorming.” This helped me understand what a story board what, what the importance of it is. James Higgins the author of the article also stated “Storyboards are classified into four principal levels: planning, idea, organization and communication boards.” These are the steps used when it comes to creating a story board. With these steps it allowed me to outline my board correctly, providing all the information on it.

I had a great experience when creating my story board. It was nice to see everything laid out and have a hard copy of it rather than an idea in my head or just words on a paper. When constructing my story board Lexi and I were under the understanding that we are including both of our feature articles on both of our magazines however that is not correct. We ended up having to erase each other title of the feature article and replacing it with different titles for other articles in our magazines. The main theme to our magazine is keeping it clean; we are using mainly black and white text with hits of blue, the photographs will be in color aside from the theme of the text. After understanding the correct way of formatting our magazines i think we have come up with great storyboards. This will allow us to have a head start on our final magazine, having the layout set now its time to piece this thing together!
